As one celebrity restaurant may be exiting Rosemont, another is reportedly on its way. Buddy V's Ristorante, an Italian restaurant helmed by bombastic "Cake Boss" reality TV star and Jersey boy Buddy Valastro, is heading to a new development in the near suburb, the Daily Herald reports. Construction will reportedly begin next spring and last about a year.

Buddy V's, which currently has a location open in Las Vegas, serves Italian red-sauce staples in pastas, pizzas, starters, and mains. There's also baked goods from his Carlo's Bakery chain that "Cake Boss" is based on.

The 8,500 square-foot Rosemont location will be part of The Pearl, a massive new development near O'Hare that will also include a hotel. Stay tuned for more intel.
