STREETERVILLE—Danny Meyer's Greenriver, the Irish-themed bar and eatery from the team behind NYC's Dead Rabbit and Aaron Lirette (formerly of Celeste), is looking to be closer to opening. They have an OpenTable profile, but reservations are not yet live. [EaterWire]

RIVER NORTHBernie's Lunch & Supper will open its doors to serve its Mediterranean-inspired menu this coming Monday, August 17. The 7,500-square-foot restaurant comes from Michigan's Peas & Carrots Hospitality (who are also working on Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken) and was designed by 555 International. [EaterWire]

OLD TOWN—The upcoming fish taco spot by the folks at Lou Malnati's, Buzz Bait, announced they will open on Friday, August 21 on Wells Street. The taqueria will focus on fish tacos, including eight-inch, large-sized ones and the fast-casual spot also plans on serving alcohol. [Chicagoist/EaterWire]
