Open for just over a year, Bohemian House has been one of the Chicago restaurant scene's more unlikely success stories. With a neurosurgeon and first-time restaurateur as owner and a relatively-unknown chef from suburban hotel restaurants, Jimmy Papadopoulos, the latter has parlayed his cooking at the Eastern European restaurant in River North into standout reviews, the Eater 38, and an inclusion on Zagat's 30 Under 30 list.

Fresh off the birth of his third child, Papadopoulos is also birthing Bohemian House's brand-new lunch service today—with a menu shaped around the limited-time "Sleeper Hold Burger" he designed and cooked just for Eater's Burger Week in April. "When we decided to add lunch service, I instantly knew that after all of our guest feedback from Burger Week that that burger was going to be the anchor of our lunch menu," Papadopoulos says. "It's kind of what I built the menu around."

While the burger was the inspiration, the full menu is much more than that. Read it all below, which includes a schnitzel sandwich, house-smoked beef tongue on rye, chicken paprikash, and cocktails.

Amazingly, Papadopoulos says he "almost backed out" of the gig before the opening and had "no clue how to cook food like this in the beginning." He obviously learned how, and Chicago eating enthusiasts can try his lunch menu starting today.
