STREETERVILLE—The second recent downtown expansion for Four Star Star Restaurant Group (Remington's), The Windsor, opened to the public yesterday. It's aiming to be a cooler downtown version of Crosby's Kitchen on Southport. Take a look around here. Status: Certified open, 160 E. Huron St.

WEST LAKEVIEW—Ashland Avenue Irish bar mainstay Temple Bar has reconcepted and rebranded into more of a gastropub after a short temporary shutter. The new concept, Beef & Barley, has more trendy small plates and bar snacks including some Mexican items, larger plates such as steak frites, and a larger beer list and more cocktails.
