THE LOOP—Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill, a Utah-based Mexican-inspired fast casual concept, opened its Chicago location on Monday. The menu includes build-your-own burritos, tacos, enchiladas, salads, quesadillas, and more. Status: Certified open, 218 W. Lake St.
WEST LAKEVIEW—Ashland Avenue Irish bar mainstay Temple Bar has reconcepted and rebranded into more of a gastropub after a short temporary shutter. The new concept, Beef & Barley, has more trendy small plates and bar snacks including some Mexican items, larger plates such as steak frites, and a larger beer list and more cocktails.
