Look for it in late summer in River North.

Chicagoans are inching closer to adding STK, the swanky steakhouse concept from New York-based The One Group, to the pedigreed local steak scene. The restaurant, slated to open late this summer in the Museum of Broadcast Communications building at State and Kinzie, has appeared on OpenTable (reservations aren't available yet) and renderings have hit the Eater inbox.

The space, which the restaurant group describes as "sexiest steakhouse experience you've ever had" on its website, is large as it seats 210. It will hold a central bar, a main dining room, a wine bar, a DJ, three private rooms behind purple-tinted glass French doors, and lots of flowing white sculptures on the ceiling. Judge its sexiness for yourself in two more renderings below.

Former Lettuce Entertain You corporate executive chef Gerald Smith will run the kitchen here, and although most menu items are under wraps, expect small, medium and large portions of steak, parmesan truffle fries; "Lil' BRGs," sweet corn pudding, and jumbo lump crab salad.
