WEST LOOP— Kaze Chan is no longer the head sushi chef at Momotaro, a Boka Restaurant Group spokesperson confirms. Executive chef Mark Hellyar now will continue to oversee the sushi program, as well as the rest of the menu. [EaterWire]

LAKEVIEW— Gapers Block is holding their third-annual Hot Dog Cookoff on Aug. 1 at Schuba's parking lot, 3159 N. Southport Ave. Chefs from Schuba's Harmony Grill, Wiener and Still Champion, Monti's, and ManBQue will go for glory. A panel including hot dog historian Bruce Kraig and Doug Sohn will talk about encased meats. Tickets cost $20 and $10 for kids 12 and under. It benefits the Illinois chapter of Reach Out and Read. RIVER NORTH— The Berkshire Room is hosting a party celebrating its two-year anniversary. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, they'll give customers free food and unveil a new cocktail menu. They're also opening earlier on weekends, as they'll start serving at 11 a.m. [EaterWire]

LINCOLN PARK— Pronto 'Za is closed after seven years of operation at 1234 N. Halsted St. They were located in the gas station strip mall at Halsted and Division. [EaterWire]

LINCOLN PARK— The Chicago History Museum's annual Chicago Hot Dog Fest is Aug. 7-9. They're moving the fest the corner of Clark and LaSalle. The food lineup includes Boricua Dog, Flashy Hotdogs, Chubby Wieners, Frannie's Beef and Catering, Chicago Classic, Select Cut Steakhouse, Cookers Red Hots, Fatso's Last Stand & Frank Meats Patty.
