Lokal Expands to Lakeview Today; Kuma's Opens in Burbs; More

LAKEVIEW—Wicker Park's Euro-inspired comfort food, cocktail, and DJ lounge Lokal is opening its second, larger location tonight at 2500 N. Ashland. Look for similar food as the original but a much larger bar menu, focusing on whiskey and craft beer, as well as later hours. SCHAUMBURG—The expansion of the iconic and ever-busy heavy metal burger spot, Kuma's Corner, has reached the burbs. The Schaumburg location opened yesterday to similarly long lines and suburbanite hysteria at 1570 E. Golf Road. SOUTH LOOP—Porkchop's steakhouse concept Chop opened yesterday in the Roosevelt Collection shopping and entertainment center at 1017 S. Delano Court.
