LAKEVIEW—Wicker Park's Euro-inspired comfort food, cocktail, and DJ lounge Lokal is opening its second, larger location tonight at 2500 N. Ashland. Look for similar food as the original but a much larger bar menu, focusing on whiskey and craft beer, as well as later hours. SCHAUMBURG—The expansion of the iconic and ever-busy heavy metal burger spot, Kuma's Corner, has reached the burbs. The Schaumburg location opened yesterday to similarly long lines and suburbanite hysteria at 1570 E. Golf Road. That makes four Kuma's locations now, if you're counting: The Avondale original, Kuma's Too on Diversey, Kuma's Indianapolis, and now Schaumburg. Status: Certified open, 1570 E. SOUTH LOOP—Porkchop's steakhouse concept Chop opened yesterday in the Roosevelt Collection shopping and entertainment center at 1017 S. Delano Court. The 99-seat spot serves steak ($19-64) and other grilled meats, plenty of draft beer and cocktails, and will roll out lunch and brunch services soon. Status: Certified open, 1017 S. Delano Court.
