1) THE LOOP— Brightwok Kitchen, a new southeast Asian concept, is a couple weeks away from opening, according to the owners. They're awaiting city inspections at the space at 21 E. Adams St. [EaterWire]

2) PILSEN— There's some sort of pizza place under construction at 1401 W. 18th St., according to permits. Owner Mark Walligora hasn't returned a message for details, so stay tuned. [EaterWire]

3) HUMBOLDT PARK— Spinning J Bakery and Soda Fountain's targeting a July opening at 1000 N. California Ave. All syrups will be housemade with natural ingredients. They'll also serve sweet and savory pies, as the owners ran Cheap Tart Pies. [DNAinfo]

4) OLD IRVING PARK— Lou Malnati's Pizzeria plans a return to Old Irving Park. Ald. John Arena (45th) posted via Facebook that Lou's will accompany a Potbelly inside a new development at Irving Park Road and Avondale Avenue. [EaterWire]

5) ANDERSONVILLE— The healthy trend continues to sweep town, as Progo hopes to open in late August at 5507 N. Clark St. Expect wraps, salads and Metropolis coffee. [DNAinfo]

6) LAKEVIEW— Here's more details about The Spanish Square, the tapas restaurant that's been delayed near Belmont and Southport. The owners want to simulate the markets in Spain, where visitors can buy meats and cheeses while sipping on rioja or other wines. They're gunning for a summer opening at 1358 W. 6) LOGAN SQUARE— Esam Hani (Cafe Con Leche, D'Noche) has decided on pizza for the space at 2715 N. Milwaukee Ave. He hopes for a late-fall opening. There's also news about his plans to expand Red Star Liquors and add a bar. [Tribune]

7) WEST LOOP— Here's some more news on the long-delayed The Lunatic, The Lover The Poet. Tom Powers' new wine bar is now slated for an October opening at 736 W. Randolph St. [Chicago Magazine]

8) ARLINGTON HEIGHTS— Gabutto Burger, the Japanese burger place that closed inside the Mitsuwa shopping center, successfully raised more than $10,000 to reopen in a new location. 9) NAVY PIER— Freshii is coming later this summer to Navy Pier as part of the tourist attraction's food court. Tourists can get healthy by ordering from the 500-square-foot spot. [EaterWire]

10) LOGAN SQUARE— Plans for Hopewell Brewing Co.'s brewpub took a step forward, as there's now a flier on the window for a liquor license at 2760 N. Milwaukee Ave. The project was waiting for the city to approve zoning changes. [EaterWire]
