Amy Morton has designs on converting a former stable in Evanston into a new restaurant. Morton, who opened Found in 2012, is planning a second establishment in the suburb. The project — The Barn — is going through the city's approval process, according to Evanston Now.

Morton declined further comment, as she's waiting to gain those approvals. The restaurant could open in the winter, and would share the building with Evanston's popular Thai Sookdee at 1016 Church St. Morton and her brother David (a partner in DMK Restaurants), have found Evanston to be hospitable. Their father is Arnie Morton, the founder of Morton's Steakhouse.

There's a bit of a theme building with The Barn and Farmhouse Evanston. What's next for the suburb? Evanston aldermen are expected to take action on The Barn tonight during meetings.
