Take a Look Inside Lincoln Park's Elegant The Blanchard

Jason Paskewitz's modern French restaurant emerges from soft-opening status in time for Bastille Day tomorrow.

Jason Paskewitz's The Blanchard, the modern French restaurant situated in an idyllic area of Lincoln Park, quietly soft-opened two weeks ago and has already garnered a few glowing reviews in social media circles. It turns out the full opening is set for tomorrow, July 14 in conjunction with Bastille Day. The photos of the space above, which features a bright, modestly elegant design, couldn't have come at a better time.

The Blanchard's interior features a tasteful mix of antique, country home and fine dining touches throughout. When compared to the ultra-casual style that is prevalent in new restaurants popping up in the city these days, The Blanchard feels positively mature. Could Paskewitz's vision start a trend that influences the industry to grow up and become more sophisticated? Only time will tell. For now, gaze at the photo slideshow above.
