Son of a Butcher, the latest restaurant from Adolfo Garcia (Pearl Tavern, Heating & Cooling), is gearing up to introduce itself to neighbors next Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17 with some free grub (with RSVP). Everyone will get a chance to try the food by chef Frank Valdez when they officially open on Thursday, June 18.
The opening was slated for last week, and Garcia had expected to open Son of a Butcher even earlier. But the project was put on hold when work was diverted to open Heating & Cooling this past spring. Now that the space is finished, expect a menu that focuses on the rare cuts in meat-centric dishes. Valdez's Garcia's grandfather ran a slaughterhouse and his grandmother a butcher shop in Mexico, so his experience runs deep.
Look for more information on Son of a Butcher as the opening gets closer.
UPDATE: Information attributed to Frank Valdez has been updated to Adolfo Garcia.
