RIVER NORTH— Hampton Social, the new project from the guys behind American Junkie, has named Carlos Contreras executive chef. The Mexico native is the former executive chef at Pearl Tavern and sous chef at Siena Tavern. They've also named Alejandro Gonzaga as sous chef. Gonzaga worked with Contreras at Siena Tavern.
WEST LOOP— Blackwood BBQ is starting dinner service at their Clinton Street location starting July 10. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. [EaterWire]
