Aurelio's Pizza Re-Enters the City in Style in the South Loop

There's a double-decker patio and large beer selection at the pizza chain's massive new spot.

South Loopers have a new place to hang their hats as Aurelio's Pizza has finally opened their massive new 5,000-square-foot spot at the corner of Roosevelt and Michigan avenues. The double-decker patio with beautiful views of Lake Michigan may make Aurelio's a contender for one of the best outdoors hangouts this summer.

Originally targeted for an April open, bartenders will pour from a selection of more than 20 draft beers, and the new location can seat more than 200. It's the chain's grand re-entrance to the city, boasting more than 40 restaurants mostly in the south suburbs and Northwest Indiana, and closed its only previous city location on Harrison.

There's no word on how this location's food menu will differ from other Aurelio's, but in the meantime check out the photos above.

Aurelio's Pizza, open 3 p.m. daily for carry outs and dining in. Lunch and delivery coming soon, 1212 S. Michigan Ave.
