WEST LOOP—Soho House’s Chicken & Farm Shop, formerly just Chicken Shop, is now open for lunch. In addition to its regular menu, there are new lunch options like a quarter chicken lunch ($8) with choice of one side or a half chicken lunch ($14) with two sides. The restaurant is also offering "chicknics," on-the-go package meals that feed several and include a rotisserie chicken, corn, coleslaw, cornbread, biscuits and a bottle of sauce. Delivery is also available through GrubHub and Caviar.
WEST LOOP—Wine bar Bin 36 will serve brunch beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 27. The "Bin" brunch menu offers highlights such as Lobster New-Bin—a reinterpretation of the classic lobster Newburg dish—wild local mushrooms on toast and shrimp and grits. On the beverage side, drinkers can also indulge in a Bloody Mary flight featuring four unique styles or a mimosa flight.
LINCOLN PARK—Rickshaw Republic now has lunch hours on Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu features lunch-only items such as ayam kalasan (marinated fried chicken), nasi uduk (coconut rice plate with peanuts and anchovies, omeltte and sambal) and mie kangkung (egg noodles with water spinach in chicken broth).
WICKER PARK—Get your meatballs during weekdays now at Mondo Meatball. The new Wicker Park eatery is open for lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. from Wednesdays through Fridays. The complete menu is available as well as a $10 lunch special that includes choice of soda, chips and a sub (dine-in only).
ANDERSONVILLE—BBQ joint Pork Shoppe launched brunch service at its new location last weekend, just in time for Father’s Day. Items include a breakfast burrito, boneless beef short ribs and hash, Tex-Mex-style migas, a "3 Pigs" sandwich with bacon, ham and pulled pork, and cinnamon puffs.
