Trellis, Lincoln Park Neighborhood Bar, Shuttered and Sold by Four Corners

It was Gaslight less than two years ago.

Tips

19 months after reconcepting their popular neighborhood spot Gaslight into the wine bar Trellis, Four Corners Tavern Group (Schoolyard, Highline, Ranalli's) has shuttered and sold the property on Racine north of Fullerton. Trellis' last day was this past Monday, and management thanked customers in a Facebook post the previous week. The group announced the reconcepting of Gaslight in September 2013 and it opened as Trellis two months later.

A Four Corners rep says that "a developer approached us with interest in buying the residential property at 2424 N. Racine and the property next door, Trellis," which resulted in the sale. No further explanation is currently available. It's also currently unknown who that developer is and what they're planning to do with the space, so it could remain a bar or a restaurant, be raised and converted into condos, or something different altogether. Stay tuned.
