After two evenings of previews for neighbors, Son of a Butcher, from restaurateur Adolfo Garcia (Pearl Tavern, Heating & Cooling) and chef Frank Valdez (Mexique), is set to open tonight in the former Zen Tecas spot. Featuring a menu evoted to the sort of cuts that a butcher would serve to family and friends, the intimate neighborhood spot aims for an old-school vibe as you can see in the photo slideshow above. Look for their "cochon" weekend brunch service featuring pork sold by the pound, as well as their night owl menu. See the space for yourself when it opens this evening at 5:00 p.m.
