OAK PARK—Q-BBQ is opening two new locations (for a grand total of five), one in Oak Park (anticipated to open in the middle of October), another in Schererville, IN (expected for the beginning of September). Q-BBQ is but one restaurant concept in a barbecue market that continues to expand (Pork Shoppe, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Belly Up, etc.) It begs the question: will the barbecue bubble burst? If so, when? UNIVERSITY VILLAGE—If you love mac and cheese get ready, the Second Annual Mac & Cheese Fest hits the UIC Forum on Saturday, October 24 with The Goddess and Grocer, Rockit Bar & Grill and Bub City confirmed to participate.
