1) THE LOOP—Forest Park's Piggyback Tavern is expanding into the city Piggyback BBQ, making moves into The Loop (175 N. Wells) and West Loop (500 W. Madison), bring slow-cooked barbecue that uses hickory, oak and cherry hardwood. [EaterWire]

2) STREETERVILLE—Kanela Breakfast Club will add its fourth location on Friday, July 3, helmed by executive chef Don Penza (Frontier, Municipal Bar + Dining Co.). The Streeterville location, located at 500 N Lakeshore Drive, will join the others in Lakeview, Old Town, and Wicker Park. [EaterWire]

3) NORTH CENTER—Alderman John Arena shared construction updates of Taurus, a mysterious forthcoming restaurant heading to the six corners area (4024 N. Milwaukee Ave.), via Facebook. Arena expects it to open this summer and notes that it will feature brick oven pizza and pasta. [EaterWire]

4) LINCOLN PARK—FUH, a Vietnamese pho spot, will open soon in the former Edzo's Burger Shop location at 2218 N. Lincoln Ave. Co-owner Quan Dao is positioning the restaurant as a Vietnamese "Chipotle," where customers can pick out proteins, vegetables and broth to go with their rice noodle base. 5) BEVERLY—Fans of Keegan's Pub should be excited by the news that the bar is currently being renovated to double in size and, once construction is done, will be renamed Barney Callaghan's (the name of its owner). Expect a 50-foot bar, private party room, a stage for live music, a bigger fireplace, larger bathrooms, more wine options and twenty taps of draft beer. For now, you can still grab a drink in the basement bar before the re-opening happens at the end of July. [DNAinfo]
