The Long Room's food concept, Sidecar, opens this morning with breakfast service. The bar's management compares it to a rotating food truck with chefs coming in and out to give drinkers a variety of food options.

Zeeshan Shah opened the place up at 7 a.m. with fresh-baked biscuits that can be topped with a variety of ingredients (smoked pastrami, bacon, etc.). There's also the traditional pepper and egg sandwich. The Long Room's bar will dispense coffee.

For lunch, Shaw will cook up Indian-inspired Naanwiches. There's raita, braised lamb shoulder and chickpeas. He's also serving up rice bowls filled with organic local brown basmati rice, plus spinach dal and other varieties.

Jim Torres and Kyle Schrage take over for Shaw for dinner and late night. An arsenal of burgers (with butterkase, pickles and special sauce) and a poutinewich (fries, short-rib gravy, curd cheese sauce, onion jam and arugula) highlight the menu.
