Opening Alert: AMK Kitchen Bar Pledges Its Allegiance to Bucktown

Will patrons yell "U-S-A, U-S-A" after their visits?

AMK Kitchen Bar takes its commitment to America seriously. The Bucktown restaurant, decked out in American-themed decor, opens today, bringing modern twists on American classics and a large bourbon list to Bucktown.

The building's facade is star spangled, and an exposed brick wall inside features Uncle Sam. Trinkets and pictures throughout the space further demonstrate its allegiance. There's even a mirror with the Eiffel Tower with an anti-Paris message. Feeling patriotic yet? Although there's a picture of Wonder Woman on the wall, not Captain America. Maybe the Amazonian naturalized.

The bar features padded burgundy stools in front of an open kitchen. There's also a garage-door style front window which management wants to leave open during the summer months. Check out the photos above.
