Rustic House Shuttering Saturday After Four Years in Lincoln Park

Sister restaurant Gemini Bistro remaining open.

Barry Brecheisen

You have five days to say goodbye to Rustic House, as Gemini Bistro's sister restaurant is going dark on Saturday after four years in business in Lincoln Park. Owner Ryan O'Donnell and his wife Anna made the announcement on social media on Saturday.

O'Donnell and chef Jason Paskewitz opened Rustic House, an upscale neighborhood concept that leaned heavily on rotisserie, in June 2011 at Halsted and Armitage. Paskewitz left both restaurants last June to open his own place in Lincoln Park, The Blanchard, which should be ready soon.

Gemini Bistro remains open up the street on Lincoln and O'Donnell advises customers to "stay tuned for our next project."
