NEAR WEST SIDE— The delayed Goose Island Tasting Room inside the Fulton & Wood brewery is set for a May 14 opening, after originally planing to open in April. No one wants to miss a chance for fresh pours of Bourbon County Brand Stout at 1800 W. Fulton St.

WICKER PARK— Pub Royale, the British-inspired bar from Heisler Hospitality (Sportman's Club, Bar DeVille) inside the former SmallBar space on Division will also open on the same date. They'll serve Anglo-Indian food, a fusion genre that mixes Indian spices with British elements beginning May 14 at 2049 W. Division St.

GOLD COAST— Goddess and Grocer's return to the Gold Coast is officially set for Monday, May 11, after an absence of more than a year. Debra Sharpe's familiar concept includes made-to-order sandwiches and grab and go items, and the first 50 customers on Monday will get a free small drip coffee and a slice of Rainbow Cake. There's also a soft opening form 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at 1127 N. State. St.

WEST LOOP— Not wanting to open on a nice weather day (like today) and then close the following day due to cold and rain, Expat, Element Collective's seasonal sidewalk-only cafe, will open on May 14. It's a new outdoor food and drink option off Randolph and Green streets at 118 N. Green St.
