Taste Talks Tix On Sale; JIMMY Opens a Patio; More

AROUND TOWN—Early bird tickets for this fall's Taste Talks Chicago (the second year for the food festival and symposium) are now on sale. The event will feature local chefs Paul Kahan (Blackbird), Abe Conlon (Fat Rice), Matthias Merges (A10) along with April Bloomfield (NYC's The Spotted Pig), as well as Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver (London's St. John). You can purchase for the Saturday, October 3 panels, the Sunday, October 4 barbecue, both, or go all in with the "Kitchen Sink" which gets you those two, plus the "Mother of Pearl" dinner on Friday, October 2, the VIP cocktail hour on Saturday and the after party on Sunday. RIVER NORTH—The Patio at JIMMY is now open for people to drink cocktails and grab grub (courtesy of David Burke's Primehouse) at The James Chicago hotel. It opened this past Saturday and can accommodate up to 35 people outside the bar that originally opened as a hidden speakeasy-style spot behind the now-shuttered Burke's Bacon Bar. [EaterWire]

RIVER NORTH—Lunch is now served at C Chicago, the seafood restaurant from the Chicago Cut folks. They even have a prix fixe lunch special for $27 (appetizer, entrée and dessert). [EaterWire]
