After completing major renovations to Michelin-starred Spiaggia last year, Tony Mantuano has announced that its casual sibling Café Spiaggia has temporarily closed for its own makeover. The plan is for the sister restaurant to reopen in July with a new menu, wine program and refreshed décor.
"I'm really excited to reinvigorate Café Spiaggia, just as we did with Spiaggia last year," Mantuano says. "For decades, it's been such a special place to us, and to so many of our loyal guests, but it's time for a look and a menu that reflect the new era of Italian cooking—an era that I'm really focused on showcasing at both restaurants."
Spiaggia took two months longer than anticipated to complete, so keep an eye out here for updates on the exact re-opening of Café Spiaggia.
