Lakeview is getting close to having baked goods and much more from a Michelin-starred chef. Elizabeth chef/owner Iliana Regan's cafe and popup space may be slightly delayed, but signage and a near-finished interior means Bunny the Microbakery is nearly ready to roll. The exterior sign was raised on Broadway for the first time this morning and co-owner Phil Tadros says it will open in early June.
Tadros says the interior is nearly done and all the equipment and hood is now in place. He terms the project as being "at the starting/finish line."
The tiny bakery will serve Regan's breads, toasts, pierogies, doughnuts, pastries, soft serve ice cream, jams, preserves, butters, and cereals, in addition to Tadros' Bow Truss coffee and other drinks. It will also house a pop-up space and "ever-changing" 12-seat restaurant in back named WunderPop. Stay tuned.
