In the works since last summer, that hot block of Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square will get its latest attraction—a barbecue and poutine mashup—tomorrow. Q-Tine, a fast-casual late-night spot where customers will order from an indoor airstream, will finally open to the public on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
The whimsical restaurant will combine the disparate dishes in a way that you've probably never seen before, along with quirky takes on carnival-esque food like corn dogs and fried Snickers bars, as well as margarita or mai tai slushies, canned beer and non-alcoholic drinks. A bright blue awning leads to the brick-lined interior, where customers can order from an airstream in back and seat themselves on stools at communal tables, booths and front counters.
Q-Tine will be the latest-hour dining option on the block—open until 4 a.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 a.m. the rest of the week—which is notable considering the proliferation of the hot drinking and entertainment spots such as Slippery Slope, Emporium Logan Square, Chicago Distilling Company and East Room. Take a look around the space above before the poutine and 'que starts flowing tomorrow.
