Barcocina Brings Chicagoans to a Summery Mexican-Inspired Barstaurant in Lakeview

New, 1 comment

Take a look around the new "modern Mexican" spot on Sheffield.

Summer is on its way, and Lakeview now has a summery Mexican-inspired barstaurant at 2901 N. Sheffield. Barcocina, the Baltimore-bred concept which opened for walk-ins on Thursday, is a bright, airy, whitewashed space full of wood accents, patios, and many garage doors to maximize those summer breezes.

A large square bar anchors Barcocina Chicago, which is surrounded by communal tables, large and small personal tables, and a full dining room with a second bar. The space also houses fireplaces for use in the colder months.

Read through chef Matt Williams' "modern Mexican" menus on the website, which house dishes that are meant for sharing, as well as beverages that include cocktails in three flavor profiles. Reservations are available beginning May 21 and brunch service is slated to begin on June 20.
