One of Chicago's best craft breweries now has seating and serves its beer on draft in-house. Begyle Brewing is unveiling its taproom to the public today, following months of construction at its brewing facility in North Center.
The room features 40 seats at tables and a no-seat bar, The Hop Review reports, as well as capacity for another 20 people in their store that sells beer to go. Brewmaster Kevin Cary's opening draft list offers 10 beers on tap in 5-, 13-, and 16-ounce pours, and while there's no food cooked in-house, expect a rotating selection of food trucks to park outside and serve grub through a "roll-up side door" during lunch and dinner hours. Beer drinkers can also bring in outside food and order food delivery.
Begyle also hopes to serve coffee in the morning once additional licensing is secured, but for now it's open from noon until 9 p.m. on weekdays (closed Mondays), noon until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon until 8 p.m. on Sundays. Check out the opening draft menu below.
