Plywood Report: New Wasabi Project in Logan; Cheesie's Wicker Park Targeting July; More

LOGAN SQUARE—After recently opening Ramen Takeya on Fulton Market, the people behind Wasabi have another new project in the works. Ownership filed a building permit for a restaurant with incidental liquor license at 2101 N. Milwaukee Ave., on the same block as Wasabi, but aren't ready to release details yet. [EaterWire]

WICKER PARK—Cheesie's Pub and Grub, already serving grilled cheese sandwiches and more in Wrigleyville and Evanston, plans on finally opening its 1367 N. Milwaukee Ave location, along with its accompanying fry and whiskey bar, Whisky Business in July. Cheesie's would open first, with Whisky Business following a few weeks later. The long-delayed expansion was originally slated to open in April 2014. [DNAinfo]

LOGAN SQUARE—"Wyler Road" is the name on the liquor application for the former Brown Sack space at 3581 W. Belden Ave. Chris Dandino, who runs the The Burlington at 3425 W. Fullerton Ave., is named on the application. [EaterWire]

THE LOOP/JEFFERSON PARK—The management of The Bagelers Coffeehousea Lincoln Park coffee shop, announced plans for new shops inside two CTA train stations: The Jackson Red Line stop and the Jefferson Park Blue Line stop. They're scheduled to open by the end of the summer. [EaterWire]

THE LOOP— Freshii plans to open early this summer at the 1871, located in the Merchandise Mart. They'll be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. [EaterWire]

SCHAUMBURG— Kinfork, a 450-seat restaurant, is slated for a late fall open in the lower level of the Woodfield Mall. Owner Luke Johnson has worked at the Hotel Felix and Rack House Kitchen & Tavern in Arlington Heights. [EaterWire]

HINSDALE— Fuller House, a new family-friendly pub from the owners of the three Bricks Wood Fired Pizza and Cafes, is planned to open later this month at 35 E. First St. [EaterWire]
