GOLD COAST—The management team behind The Pump Room is suing its former chef, Moosah Reaume, for breach of contract after he allegedly poached members of his former kitchen staff after leaving for Soho House. Reaume, who left the posh spot in the Public Hotel in January, reportedly agreed to a stipulation in November 2014 that he couldn't poach any of his Pump Room staff for at least two years. EVANSTON/HIGHLAND PARK—In further lawsuit news, the Sarkis siblings behind Sarkis Cafe are at it again in the courts. Owner Marla Cramin is suing her brother Scott Jaffe, who managed the restaurant for a decade before opening his own restaurant in Highland Park, alleging he copied her menu and mislead the public to believe the restaurants are affiliated. The siblings were also embroiled in a separate lawsuit that was settled in November. [Tribune]
