Sean Pharr Named Bristol's Executive Chef; Langham Chicago's James Beard Dinner; More

BUCKTOWN—Change has come to The Bristol with the appointment of Sean Pharr to the executive chef position. Pharr, who has spent the past year working at B. Hospitality Co.'s other restaurants Balena and Formento's, also spent time in the kitchens of Tru and NoMI. Chris Pandel, who has been The Bristol's executive chef since the restaurant opened in 2008, will concentrate on getting Armour & Swift, the next B. Hospitality and Boka restaurant collaboration, off the ground a little later this year. [Tribune]

RIVER NORTH—The Langham Chicago's executive chef Anthony Zamora and Travelle's Tim Graham and Scott Green will host a six-course James Beard dinner on Thursday, April 16 with help from Chris Pandel (Balena), Giuseppe Tentori (GT Fish & Oyster), Paul Virant (Vie) and Andrew Zimmerman (Sepia).
