After thousands of votes, Eater Chicago's Ramen Battle has come down to the final two. Both contests swung over Easter Weekend, as late-night voting from staff and customers alike had a strong effect on the outcomes. Championship voting starts now and will end at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, when the winner will be crowned.
Despite the buzz from being the newest restaurant in the competition, Furious Spoon went down to Slurping Turtle. At one point on Sunday night, a mere 1 percentage point separated the two, but after 2,729 votes, the Turtle motored away with a 54 percent to 45 percent win.
They'll face Yusho, whose persistent social media campaign bested River North fave Ramen-san. This one wasn't even close, with 14,882 votes cast. Yusho garnered 59 percent of the vote compared to 40 percent for Ramen-san.
So in the final match up it's The Slurping Turtle versus Yusho with the results coming in on Wednesday. Ready? Slurp!
