WEST LOOPBlack Dog Gelato is coming to Chicago French Market this summer and, unlike their Ukrainian Village location (which begins summer hours on May 1), will stay open year-round, according to owner and executive chef Jessica Oloroso. Gelato scoop cups, cones and pints are also going to be sold at The Goddess and the Grocer in Bucktown soon. [EaterWire]

UNIVERSITY VILLAGEFrom now until April 7, County Barbeque will donate part of rib tips sales to Urban Prep Academies, an organization favored by Mayor Rahm Emanuel. It's the restaurant's way of supporting the Mayor in the upcoming runoff election. [EaterWire]

WEST TOWNElizabeth's not the only restaurant getting in on the Game of Thrones/food tie-in. Frontier is hosting a wild boar feast Sunday, April 12 in time for the show's fifth season premiere. From 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the restaurant will show the final three episodes from last season and serve up the boar plus sides for $30 per person (tickets can be purchased on Frontier's website).
