Tete Sandwiches Sold at La Colombe; Firecakes & Osteria La Madia Fundraising For Nepal; More

ANDERSONVILE & WEST LOOP— La Colombe will start serving Tete Charcuterie sandwiches from 11 a.m. until they sell out on Saturdays and Sundays at its Andersonville and West Loop coffee shops. The jambon buerre (ham with gruyere with salted butter on a baguette), salumi (chorizo, manchego, arugula, oven-roasted tomato on ciabatta) will be $7 with a limited supply. RIVER NORTH— Firecakes Donuts and Osteria La Madia will donate a portion of sales in May to Shikshya Foundation Nepal, to help victims of the weekend's earthquakes. Chef Jonathan Fox will donate portions of sales of Firecakes' coconut cream donut and the San Marzano tomato and cheese fondue, as well as the Spinach and taleggio fondue from Osteria. [EaterWire]
