Ashok Selvam is the editor of Eater Chicago and a native Chicagoan armed with more than two decades of award-winning journalism. Now covering the world of restaurants and food, his nut graphs are super nutty.

The management team behind C Chicago hopes their modern takes on seafood will bring some excitement to the corner of Kinzie Street and Dearborn Avenue. The team's already enjoyed great success molding Chicago Cut Steakhouse into a hot spot for business deals and celebrity sightings.

The menu features whole fish baked in an aromatic salt-herb dough (check out the photo below). There's also a shellfish bouquet with a sampling of Norwegian prawns, west coast oysters, Tristan lobster tail, Alaskan King Crab, mussels, tuna tartare and salmon rillettes. An appetizer of note is the scallop carpaccio with olive oil, lemon juice, basil, chives and Espelette pepper.

Check out the lunch and dinner menus below. Maybe Jay-Z and Beyonce will eventually make a visit.
