1) NORTHBROOK— Construction continues on Graeter's Ice Cream's first Chicago-area shop, as the soft opening date is May 10 and a full opening is planned for May 29 at 1347 Shermer Road in suburban Northbrook. [Tribune]

2) ANDERSONVILLE— Giordano's will open its latest location to the public at 4 p.m. on April 28. The new spot at 5207 N. Clark St. is also hosting an event for Andersonville residents today where they'll donate half of all proceeds to the local Swedish American Museum's Water Tower Fund. [EaterWire]

3) SOUTHPORT CORRIDOR— A new specialty beer bar, Bitter Pops, is in the works for 3345 N. Lincoln Ave. A community meeting has been scheduled. [Southport Corridor]

5) DEPAUL— Never fear, Etno Village Grill fans. After more than a year of waiting, construction appears to be picking up on the restaurant's expansion project, the one that's forced an extended temporary shutter at 2580 N. Lincoln Ave. Management says they've made progress and plan on making an announcement soon. The updated space includes a new bar at Lincoln and Sheffield. [EaterWire]

6) EDGEWATER— D and G Brewing Co. is coming along at 1221-23 W. Devon Ave. The Fountainhead's developer is involved in this brewery and taproom that will produce four beers. [DNAinfo]

7) EDISON PARK—A new Italian ice spot, Tony & Millie's Italian Ice Bar, is heading to 6709 N. Olmsted on the far northwest side. Ownership is hoping for a May opening. [EaterWire]

8) ROGERS PARK— Clarke's is adding another location, a 24-hour spot on Sheridan Road at Loyola University. The diner would open inside the school's Granada Center at 6439 N. Sheridan Road. [DNAinfo]
