Opening Alert: Amorino Exudes a Taste of Paris in River North

This afternoon, Amorino debuted in Chicago and offers European-inspired gelato and coffee. This is the seventh U.S. store for Amorino, which opened its first store in 2002 in Paris.

There's 10 wooden tables and seating for 22 at 838 N. State St., with the decor trying to establish an old-world European atmosphere. Crystal-sphere light fixtures illuminate the room, showing of the the large gelato colors which are adorned with light wood trim. Customers will see exposed brick when making their order from one of 16 gelato flavors initially offered.
