An alum of Noma, The French Laundry, and Nashville's acclaimed Catbird Seat will be the second chef at Rich Melman's Intro. Erik Anderson, a born-and-raised Chicagoan, will take the helm at the conceptually-changing concept on May 14, just more then two weeks after opening chef CJ Jacobson departs on April 30. Lettuce Entertain You will release tickets for Anderson's stint sometime today.
What happens in the two week interim between chefs in unknown, as a Lettuce rep says "we have some things up our sleeve."
Anderson continues the theme of an already-celebrated chef running the restaurant, as he is a James Beard nominee, a Food & Wine best new chef, and garnered a TV spotlight on "Mind of a Chef." He guided the Catbird Seat to best new restaurants in America nods in Bon Appetit and GQ before relinquishing that restaurant's reigns in December 2013.
His stint at Intro precedes the opening of his Minneapolis restaurant, Brut, in the fall. Catch his work at Intro in Chicago beginning May 14.
