1) GOLD COAST— The Goddess and Grocer at 1127 N. State St. is scheduled for an April opening. Ownership wanted to open in January, but revised the date. [EaterWire]

2) NORTH CENTER— The Victor Bar, a "Parisian-style cocktail bar" is heading to 4011 N. Damen Ave. It could open in August or September. [DNAinfo]

3) THE LOOP— Prime & Provisions, the steakhouse from the DineAmic Group (Bull & Bear, Siena Tavern) is shooting for a spring opening at 222 N. LaSalle St. [EaterWire]

4) LINCOLN PARK— The second iteration of Strings ramen shop is aiming for a soft opening on March 17. Strings II at 1629 N. Halsted St. would be a spin off of Strings' original location in Chinatown. [DNAinfo]

5) STREETERVILLE— Texas de Brazil took another step toward returning to Chicago. Last month the city granted a building permit for the churrascaria at 200 E. Illinois St., the Optima Chicago Center. Texas de Brazil closed in March 2013 to make room for Eataly at 51 E. Ohio St. [EaterWire]

6) WILMETTE— An Italian restaurant will open in the space that once housed The Avenue at 1146 Wilmette Ave. in suburban Wilmette. It's called Contadino, and chef Will Johnson (Fillini) will be at the helm. Ownership wants to open around March 17. [EaterWire]

7) WICKER PARK— In anticipation of Mondo Meatball opening next week at 1467 N. Milwaukee Ave., staff will host an open house from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The public is invited to check out the space and sample the menu. [EaterWire]

8) LOGAN SQUARE— Signs point to Kaffe Cafe opening soon at 3524 W. Armitage Ave. That's the former Global Cafe that closed in August. [DNAinfo]

9) ROGERS PARK— A second Insomnia Cookies will open at 6470 N. Sheridan Road, across the street from Loyola University. Management has yet to share the opening date. Chicago's other Insomnia Cookies is at 2260 N. Lincoln Ave., near the DePaul University campus. [EaterWire]
