Chef Mike Sheerin's new dumpling spot has found a home in Hyde Park. Packed, a fast-casual spot (featuring treats like French onion soup dumplings) will open inside the former Edwardo's Natural Pizza at 1321 E. 57th St, according to Crain's. Edwardo's closed last year.

Sheerin was in search of a new project after leaving Cicchetti about two months before the Streeterville Italian restaurant closed. He'll head inside a 1,596-square-foot location in Hyde Park, where he plans seating for about 50. Sheerin told Crain's he felt Hyde Park was overlooked, and he'll offer residents take out and delivery, serving items such as pastrami dumplings and open-faced sandwich-style dumplings.
