Tomorrow, the people behind Scofflaw and Slippery Slope will unleash their next spot on the residents of Logan Square. Sink | Swim, mere doors west of Scofflaw on Armitage, will start serving an array of chef-driven seafood-centric dishes at 5 p.m.
Cleveland-imported chef Matt Danko's opening menu, which you can read in full below, starts with three snacks before moving to cold and hot small plates, east and west coast oysters with a variety of toppings, six entrees and three desserts. The monkfish liver torchon highlighted in the teaser video is on there, as well as a gin-cured salmon that could be seen as a nod to the gin-driven original Scofflaw, pickled mussels, and fish and chips. Non-seafood eaters have a chicken paillard entree and a version of beef and broccoli (with fermented black beans, soy and cabbage) to choose from, as well as a couple of vegetarian starters. No food item costs more than $20.
On the beverage side, there's a tight, mostly-affordable, European-heavy wine list in addition to 10 cocktails from Scofflaw beverage mastermind Danny Shapiro that run from $8-12. Five beers run from Dogfish Head IPA to $3 Hamm's.
