RIVER NORTH— Sushi Taiyo/Topwok posted signs that it was closed for renovations at 58 E. Ontario St. They won't reopen, as according to its voicemail, the restaurants' eight-year run is done. Sister restaurants Rise Sushi and Sake Lounge and Shine remain open. [EaterWire]

LAKEVIEW– House of Sushi and Noodles is shuttered at 1610 W. Belmont Ave. There's already a new tenant in the space, as construction has already begun. There's also a building permit, but no details on those plans are available. Patrons can find the restaurant's all-you-can-eat sushi special at its sister restaurant, Wasabi Cafe at 3908 N. Lincoln Ave. [EaterWire]

SOUTH LOOP— Fans of thin-crust slices have bad news. City Pizza, 111 W. Jackson Blvd., is closed, a Yelper first reported. The phone number is disconnected and its Facebook page has disappeared. [EaterWire]
