Chicago is getting a new restaurant from the co-owners and the heralded sushi chef behind Juno Restaurant in Lincoln Park. Juno co-owner and longtime Chicago restaurateur Jason Chan says he and chef B.K. Park have a new project in the works—a partnership with a "large" restaurant group—but are unable to reveal details yet due to a confidentiality agreement with said partner. He swears that the other group will reveal the name, location, and concept very soon.

However, Chan and Park are currently in NYC on a research trip and looking at their restaurant visits reveals much. They're eating at a myriad of the Big Apple's best oyster bars, seafood spots, and Japanese restaurants, so it stands to reason that the new concept will fall into one or all of these categories. The trip will take them to Los Angeles next week.

Chan says that the press they received since Juno opened in May 2013, much of it stemming from his chasing down of a cell phone thief and the shuttering and reopening of Juno from a January 2014 fire, brought many opportunities for new projects, but this one is the first they were truly excited about. Stay tuned for more details.
