UPDATE: If you purchased tickets to the pop up, you were lucky. Tickets sold out in under six minutes.
Original post as follows:
Tickets to Momofuku Ssäm Bar's pop up inside The Publican are now on sale, allowing Chicago diners a taste of chef David Chang's acclaimed New York restaurant in May. There will be two seatings on May 5, which was moved to Publican from Publican Quality Meats due to increased demand, and coinciding with Chicago hosting the James Beard Awards. Get tickets, which cost $150 each — inclusive of beverages and service — here.
There's some history between the two establishments, as The Publican popped up at Ssäm Bar last year. This time, the New Yorkers are returning the favor to Chicago with a four-course family-style dinner prepared by Ssäm Bar executive chef Matthew Rudofker. The first seating is at 6 p.m., and the second is at 9 p.m. Party size is restricted to six or fewer. Menu details weren't shared, but perhaps Chicagoans will get a taste of Ssäm Bar's famous Korean-style roasted pork shoulder.
