Doug Sohn Appearing at Piece; Cullen's Officially Closes; More

WICKER PARK— Doug Sohn will appear from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Piece Pizzeria to promote the "Atomic Pizza," a pie made with sausage that was served at Hot Doug's. The pizza is only available through March, and 10 percent of proceeds benefit Pilot Light. Sales in February from a pizza created by Stephanie Izard netted $1,771.60. [EaterWire]

LAKEVIEW— Cullen's Bar & Grill is officially shuttered on Southport. The bar, which attempted a social media campaign to keep its doors open, reached an agreement with its landlord, the Mercury Theater, to shutter. WEST LOOP— BellyQ chef Bill Kim will host a cooking demo on March 8, "brunch meets dinner." They'll serve a menu that includes a nori waffle with sake syrup, lemongrass sausage and tempura eggs. It's at the restaurant, and tickets cost $50. [EaterWire]

RIVER NORTH— Monday's the last day for early-bird tickets to Headquarters Beercade's 2015 Firkin Fest at their River North location. The event is on March 29 and features a wide variety of real ales. Early bird tickets are $65. [EaterWire]
