Acclaimed New York chef David Chang is not only cooking at the James Beard Awards reception on May 4—his Momofuku Ssam Bar will also pop up at The Publican the following day. Momofuku teased the event in an Instagram post this morning, which also says that tickets and details will be available in one week (March 25).
The Publican popped up at Momofuku Ssam Bar last summer, and Chang's Asian restaurant bar is returning the favor this year at Paul Kahan's renowned pork and beer hall on Fulton Market. Check out Ssam's dinner menu and stay tuned for more details.
UPDATE: A One Off Hospitality representative says that the popup will take place at Publican Quality Meats but will be hosted by The Publican. Beyond that, they're keeping mum on details until March 25.
UPDATE 2: A Momofuku representative says that Matt Rudofker, executive chef of Ssäm Bar, will be the featured chef at the popup.
