HUMBOLDT PARK—Both the Pierogi Wagon food truck and its six-month-old restaurant, Polak Eatery, will undergo a name and menu change on Friday. They'll both be called Pierogi Station, serve paczki, "Polish street style sandwiches," and more in addition to the signature pierogies. A second truck is in the works too. [EaterWire]

LINCOLN PARK—Originally slated to open tomorrow at 1629 N. Halsted, the opening of the second Strings Ramen Shop and the adjoining tea shop Grasswood will be delayed until "by the end of the week." [EaterWire]

THE LOOP—Doug Sohn made another public appearance on Friday, handing out free slices of his Piece pizza collab to a long line of selfie-taking people at Daley Plaza. It took downtown Chicagoans less than 10 minutes to snatch around 60 slices. [Sun-Times]
