GOLD COAST—Ian Schrager has plans in the works to sell both the Public Chicago hotel and the Pump Room along with it. Business for the restaurant side has been solid, but the hotel has not followed suit. Schrager indicates that the sale has more to do with now being a good time to sell and not a lack of faith in the Chicago market. Plans are in effect to continue the Public brand in New York. [CRED]
