THE LOOP—The renderings for Four Corners Tavern Group's upcoming restaurant inside Maggie Daley Park were unveiled last night at a meeting of the Grant Park Conservancy. Maggie's At the Park will be a glass structure that will leave the sightlines to Buckingham Fountain unobstructed. The al fresco dining will be complimented by a tree that will grow inside the restaurant and is anticipating an early 2016 opening. [Curbed]
LAKEVIEW—Iliana Regan's upcoming Bunny, the micro bakery will also feature a "petite, ever-changing restaurant" within the bakery dubbed WunderPOP that can seat up to 12 guests. WunderPOP will house pop-ups and act as a testing ground for new and established chefs, according to a newsletter announcement. Both concepts have a Kickstarter for start-up costs that is about a third financed and has another 37 days to reach its goal. [EaterWire]
WICKER PARK—Bordel has added porrons, wine decanters which in this case are filled not with wine, but with one of a few different cocktails (house daiquiri, pisco punch or French 75). Guests stream the drinks by raising the porron over their heads, aiming for their mouth. It's meant to liven up the room and bring about more social interaction between diners. Bordel bartender Brian Sturgulewski expects porrons to become a city-wide trend. [Zagat]
