Pumping tokens into vintage game machines can make anyone hungry, and the folks at Emporium Logan Square want to make sure food is no longer an afterthought. So starting on Tuesday, actual food trucks will begin week-long stints in the truck parked inside the arcade bar.
Working with the food truck commissary and restaurant The Garage, Emporium's food trucks in residency will begin serving daily at 5 p.m. The same truck will serve patrons for a week before a new truck rotates into the spot. So far Emporium has six trucks involved: The Salsa Truck, Donerman, Yum Dum, Jerk 312, Beavers Coffee & Donuts and Soups In The Loop. Emporium management says other trucks will also come into the fold.
The trucks present an upgrade for Emporium, as hungry gamers previously only had Emporium's own sandwiches as an option, which garnered mixed feedback.
